Annual IPSC Scholarship 2011 for Two Distinguished Research Papers in Sociology

Dear Sociologists,

IPSC – Institute for Political and Sociological Consulting announces the second research scholarship in the field of Sociology for distinguished papers received from students of all faculties of sociology from Armenian universities. Applicants must be current Bachelor’s students of 3rd and 4th years or current Master’s students of 1st and 2nd years. Kindly submit the materials to scholarship@ipsc.am by February 28, 2011. Please submit the following documents in Armenian:

•   Completed Application Form (please download here)
•   CV with the list of available publications
•   Motivation Letter (1 page long)
•   Brief description of the project (800-1000 words) with detailed project timetable
•   1 academic Recommendation Letter

The scholarship intends to promote research abilities of the two selected students by a monthly amount of 50,000 AMD for six-month period from 01.05.2011 to 31.10.2011.

The Scholarship topics are open. It is necessary to represent any project in Sociology which provides an opportunity to develop methodology and conduct a research based on it.
The selection of the applications will be made as a joint action from IPSC specialists and YSU Sociology Faculty staff, and will be based on anonymous and transparent review of the applications. Main selection criteria are:
•   Socio-political actuality of the proposed Research topic
•   Methodological innovative approach
•   High quality of the completed Application Form
