Poll in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh: IPSC Describes the Methodology

IPSC – Institute for Political and Sociological Consulting (www.ipsc.am) has recently completed a very massive survey “Comparative Opinion Poll in RA and NK on Socio-Political Issues and Foreign Relations”. The client for the survey is European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA, www.EuFoA.org) and it is co-branded with the UK based opinion polling company Populus (www.populus.co.uk).
IPSC was in charge of planning, conduction of fieldwork, quality control and data processing while Populus was responsible for final quality control and data analysis. The fieldwork for this poll was carried out between 15 and 18 October 2010 in Armenia and 22 and 26 October 2010 in Nagorno-Karabakh, comprising respectively 1,210 and 810 face-to-face interviews. Results of internal quality control of IPSC score to 43.8% and the random sample was initially calculated with 95% confidence level and ±2.83% marginal error.
